One of the goals in tool selection for Data Science should be related to combining
multiple functions like analysis, machine-learning, etc. to make the most out of
your data. However, with advances and improvements in tools, that has become
the standard and still leaves several options on the table. So how do you choose
which tool solves your problem?

One of the goals in tool purchasing will always be ROI, so aligning the desired
solution with the appropriate tool can help with that business case but it is not
always going to be the shiniest tool that will accomplish this and sometimes the
solution can be created with free or existing options if your Data Scientists are
leveraging development best practices.

Regardless of where you are in the lifecycle from data capture to exploration to
visualization, there are tools that can make your life easier but selecting the wrong
one could actually make your life harder so we will explore how these thought
leaders have experienced this first hand.
